THE HARYANA TAX ON ENTRY OF GOODS IN TO LOCAL AREAS  ACT, 2008

AN ACT

to provide for levy and collection of tax on entry of goods into a local area for consumption, use or sale therein and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Haryana in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

CHAPTER 1

Preliminary

1. Short title, extent and commencement.

(1) This Act may be called the Haryana Tax on Entry of Goods into Local Areas Act, 2008.

 (2) It extends to the whole of the State of Haryana.

(3) It shall come into force with immediate effect.
